SAFETY BALL VALVES
Ball valves in safety execution feature, as needed, a function for locking and/or a venting mechanism for energy release to the subsequent application.
SAFETY BALL VALVES
Safety ball valves either have a vent hole, are lockable, or they are a combination of both. The vent hole at the bottom of the ball valves allows the air remaining on the user side to escape into the atmosphere when the ball valve is closed, thus venting the application. At the same time, the supply side of the piping system is shut off.
Intentional or unintentional adjustment of the ball valve is prevented by means of a simple, commercially available padlock, which secures the valve in both the open and closed positions.
Safety ball valves with spring return prevent an unintentional "open" position. When the handle is not actuated, they automatically return to the "closed" position.
