Hose couplings

Flexible hose couplings, also known as quick couplings, and are used in various fields, such as chemical engineering, the food industry or landscaping and horticulture. They make it possible to connect and disconnect hoses without any dripping – safely, quickly and easily. No tools are needed. You can choose from many connection types and find the right hose coupling to suit your needs.

The versatility of hose couplings in various versions

Hose couplings allow you to connect hose systems to different hose lines as well as devices and machines used for various work processes. They consist of coupling parts that are connected to each other via a system. One is attached to the hose and the other to the opposite end. With quick couplings, you no longer need to permanently connect the lines. This makes them more flexible than conventional hose fittings, as they can be loosened at any time. Thanks to the often built-in valves, this can be done without any dripping. This also simplifies maintenance and increases diversity of use:

Choosing the right hose coupling depends on its intended use. Air and water tightness is advantageous if the host is supposed to transport liquids such as water or oil. One common type is the Storz coupling, which requires very little effort to connect. You simply need to align the hose coupling with the device and lock it into place with a quarter turn. The claws (jaws) engage with the contours of the counter-coupling. Many fire departments use this to connect a fire hose to a hydrant.

Particularly rugged hydraulic couplings are used for hydraulic systems; they provide a leak-free connection for hydraulic hoses and are suitable for higher pressures of up to 1000 bar. Hydraulic couplings are used, for example, in construction machinery such as excavators.

Camlock couplings are another safe and tight connection type; they come in many sizes and types and are especially suitable for industrial use, for example in the food industry, agriculture, shipbuilding or medical technology. You can also use them to transport liquids, granules or gaseous substances. They are connected using a simple lever mechanism.

Temperature control couplings are used in various industries for heat and cold management. They control and regulate the temperature of liquids, gases and/or solid materials by selectively adding or removing heat energy. The areas of application are manifold; examples include plastics processing as well as in the food, pharmaceutical or electronics industry.

Claw couplings are widely used in mechanical and plant engineering. They connect two waves and serve to reduce vibration. Jaw couplings are connected to each other in a gear-like manner; they're suitable for when high torque is required and offer uninterrupted transmission.
