THE CHALLENGE
This collaboration between RUBIX GmbH and RIEGLER & Co. KG once again highlights the importance of reliability and solution-oriented thinking in an industrial environment. When one of RUBIX GmbH’s customer companies approached them with an urgent challenge relating to pneumatic couplings, RUBIX GmbH was able to provide a rapid solution thanks to RIEGLER’s flexible custom manufacturing capabilities.
RUBIX’s customer manufactures industrial kitchens. The pneumatic couplings required are used in deep-fat fryers to drain off the fat once it has cooled slightly. The challenge was that the original manufacturer had discontinued production of these couplings, and there was no direct alternative available on the market.

THE SOLUTION
Working closely with RIEGLER, RUBIX was able to implement a tailor-made custom solution – precisely matched to the OEM customer’s requirements and, above all, delivered within a short timeframe. This has secured both the customer’s production and the long-term supply of goods. In addition, this OEM supply arrangement opens up further opportunities in the MRO market for both companies.
What makes these pneumatic couplings particularly special is their FKM seals, offering very high temperature resistance up to 200 °C, combined with a high permissible operating pressure of up to 35 bar.
Technical characteristics of the pneumatic couplings:
- Made from nickel-plated brass and stainless steel
- Possible for use in food-related environments
- FKM seals suitable for temperatures from –26 °C to +200 °C
- High permissible pressure range from 0 to 35 bar
